Hold on to Jesus Christ

Jesus had been attempting to get away from the multitude for a time of refreshment, prayer, and preparation for more teaching. Unfortunately each time He withdrew to a city, the people followed Him. A gentile woman came up with a desperate request concerning her daughter. She came to seek for help as no human help can rescue her daughter possessed by demons. She knew Jesus was her only hope for her daughter’s cure. She came with an attitude different from that of others. However, despite Jesus’ initial response which seems discouraging, she held on to Him and cried the more. She knew what she wanted and that she was in the correct place. And in the end, she finally got what she wanted from the Lord Jesus Christ because her daughter was healed and freed.

Salt of the earth

It is really important we have a positive effect and influence on the society. Can we be the salt of the earth? How can we be the salt of the earth? It is commonly known by almost all that salt is a chemical compound formed by the combing of an acid and a base or metal. It is a very common white substance with many uses especially for flavoring and preserving of foods. Salt was often used among the oriental people for ratifying agreements, so that salt became the symbol of faithfulness, fidelity and constancy.
